Do you _really_ think that every winner on the internet is going to be determined in the first 2 years of its commercial lifespan? Do you realize how many computer companies existed in the early 80s? If you apply your logic to that situation, you would have bet the farm on the commodore 64, since they certainly had first mover status for at least a year. (about the same time you claim ebay needs to establish eternal domination)
