AWEB and ABTL are competitors, and so will Carclub.com when it IPOs. The business model of these companies is subscription fee-based. I read that AWEB will probably change their fee structure to a per-referral basis, since some clients were complaining they weren't getting a lot of business from the service. In any case, just like online auctions, these online auto referral companies will be commonplace soon. I'm sure YHOO, AOL, MSFT, or any other portal will come up with their version quickly. I wouldn't buy AWEB or ABTL at this time.

Reason I like ONEM is because they have a first-mover advantage. ONEM is focused on a niche strategy by targeting rural communities, and sometimes niche strategies can do very well in highly-segmented markets. ONEM needs to build their brand equity, and maybe they will be afforded the valuation of a MSPG or ELNK.
