Michelle, I agree. Just as people use Yahoo for things such as chatting just because so many other people do the same, people use EBAY because it is the place to sell.

For instance, I sold 300.00 worth of software this week I no longer use through EBAY. No way I could have gotten that much for it anywhere else (or, prob. even buyers.) Honestly I got near what I paid for the software new! If that is EBAY quality then I think their business model is sound, and unless AMZN could somehow get to that level of user base they have nothing to worry about.

Of course, I would not be surprised in people sell EBAY on the news but who knows. Applying rational systems to these stocks is the ticket to the poor house.

Also, I sold my AMZN puts for a tiny gain today. Scared me this morning with the early rise but fortunately came back to me. I will not buy puts until this Auction business is announced - too much upside risk until then. I am still sore from when they announced they would sell music. :)
