When we first got to the meeting and signed in, they had a CD titled, EVs are here… Are you ready? I haven't viewed it yet, but the cover states, An orientation to Electric Vehicles. The vote was taken and all issues were passed (16ml, 16ml, approx. 11ml and approx. 11 ml respectively, FOR). Stan talked about his dream team (Bob, Ken, Tyler and others). The stone age humor, posted earlier, was an excellent analogy. When Bob talked about OUM, a question was posed to him with regards to our chip being able to handle cosmic waves. At that point Stan got up and interjected that our chip did withstand Alpha, Beta and Gamma waves and that our chip was the only chip that has passed the nuclear testing and was still “chirping” after the test. Bob showed us two types of thin film and talked about our ultra lightweight PV. This in conjunction with the cost ($10k/lb) of sending materials into space would be an excellent market for us. A question was asked of Bob with regards to being a member of the board of Solectria and if any deals were in the making of forming a venture with Solectria. Bob's first comment was, “Gees, the walls do have ears, don't they?” Bob added that there was nothing in the plans now (I wonder!). Bob also talked about a van, which could handle a 1000 lbs load for use with mail delivery or UPS type trucks or, windows could be installed in the van and transport 6 people (kind of like a small SUV). It was stated that most mail trucks only travel about 12 miles a day and that UPS trucks average about 10 miles per day (not to include outlying areas). He also touched on Diamler-Chysler and their recent news releases and down played them with an ECD news release, which dated back to '81, regarding our technology with fuel cells. Bob also mentioned when we go over to the plant, we may notice something different about one of the batteries from the family of ECD batteries. They have included a feature, allowing for cooling of the battery. Someone correct me here, but I thought it had something to do with Mercedes Benz and heat build up under their hood. And, that this type of battery fit right in with the engineering that Mercedes was doing (some sort of cooling themselves). Bob went on to talk about the round cylindrical NiMH batteries which would more than likely be used with bicycles and said that these were not being produce yet. There was also something mention by Nancy Bacon, that Peugeot (sp?) had produce about 4K (scooters?) last year and that 10K where planned for this year.
If I'm not mistaken, either Stan or Bob said we should be hearing some news in the next few weeks. I'm not sure what it was relating to, but I'm hoping it's about OUM. Then some other comment was made regarding some additional news/information in about 6 months from now.
I also believe Tyler Lowery stole the show. OUM can be used in existing systems. I noticed that Jacq, just posted some of the things that I was going to mention, so I won't reiterate or repeat. I really liked Tyler's last slide - the daughter idea, of which Jacq mentioned, relating to OUM. I believe that both DVD and our memory are going to be our quickest near term money makers.
The web site will eventually have a form that you can fill out and get information and/or pricing regarding PV. No online ordering of PV is currently in the planning for various reasons. They are also trying to get a repository (last three years) of news announcements related to ECD on the web site. Links to related sites are also being considered, to help keep everyone informed.
I'm not trying to cheerlead here, but I'm getting a definite impression from the recent news releases, the letter to the shareholders and the annual meeting, especially from Tyler Lowery, that we are going to see and ECD lift off! I know there are some shareholders that have been waiting for some type of return on their investment and I believe that we are about to enter that phase.
If I think of anything else or something else triggers me to remember, I will post it. If I have stated something incorrectly, please feel free to correct me. There was an awful lot to take in, during the 1 ½ - 2 hour meeting.
