Dell India -First 100% subsidiary and now sweeping Telecomm Reform->

I posted the other day about the news that Dell is opening a 100%subsidiary in India to be completed this year,that coupled with this news tells me 'you ain't seen the half of it yet'.<vbg>

Well anyway as you know this kind of reform is a big stretch for India,the fun is just beginning.

India unveils sweeping telecom reforms

NEW DELHI, India--India announced today sweeping free-market reforms of its telecommunications sector and intended to promote the country as an information technology superpower.

The government said in its New Telecoms Policy 1999, unveiled by Communications Minister Shri Jagmohan, that it intended to create a new telecom infrastructure.

"The new policy will aid the proliferation of Internet services in India in a big way," it said. ........
