Mark,

<<WDC is not a TSA customer and if you read this PR, this is a TSA problem.>>

WDC is not a TSA customer? What I said was "IMO it is IBM/WDC and QNTM". I admit I am not sure but I thought the WD "Expert" drives used TSA.

<<Could a company like Maxtor have planned an aggressive move to GMR using TSA, but had ESD or other problems totally blow the program out of the water?>> Plausible but I have not heard anything like that. What I heard I have already posted.

<<It's easy to think the whole industry has gone wrong, but would Hutchinson really get one weeks notice from every drive maker at the same time? >> Why do you say one week's notice? In any case, everything is on a much shorter fuse now. BTO, remember?

<<You seem to be looking for the desktop as the problem>>

I am not "looking" for anything except the truth. And all I can do is provide what I know or hear.
