I agree that Nextel is a great takeover candidate, it is just a matter of time. Since I have a small position in it, that suits me fine :-) I would be surprised if AOL were interested in them, I don't see how that fits into their plans. They already have partnerships with WCOM, Bell Atlantic, and others for broadband, and they could strike a partnership with Nextel for wireless if they wanted to, without buying them out. I think WorldCom would be a better suitor for Nextel. But that rumour has been around for a while.
