TOUR AT WINCOM!

Yesterday, I was able to get a real simulated demonstration from two top engineers of WINCOM's 218-219 Mhz automated meter reading capabilities. One computer simulated the base station and the other computer simulated the meter. Off to the side, there was a hand held radio with it's dial set at 218 Mhz. The engineer on the computer simulated base station clicked on a button to retrieve the billing units entered by the engineer on the simulated meter. Through the air waves the billing information on the simulated meter was transferred to the simulated base station instantly! The reason that we know that the information was transferred through the air waves is because the hand held radio made a short squelching noise when the information from the meter was transferred to the base station. Needless to say...I was quite impressed!
