Paul, What speed is the Merced emulator running at? Alpha Ships 600 MHz Processors Alpha Processor (Concord, Mass.) announced full production of its third generation Alpha 21264 microprocessors at speeds of 500 and 600 MHz. The Alpha 21264 has been shipping in sample quantities to OEM customers since the fourth quarter of 1998. The 21264 builds on the company's existing offering of 64 bit Alpha microprocessors for the workstation and server markets. The company also announced availability of its first AlphaPC 264DP dual processor capable motherboard. The new system board can accept up to two Alpha 21264 microprocessor daughter cards and support up to 4 GB of main memory. Benchmarks tests indicate that this system has twice the performance of the previous generation Alpha 21164 500 MHz system semiconductor.net Scumbria
