If the 3 day settlement rule applies to funds or brokerages then today should be the last day they had to clear the books because any sell on monday would settle on Thur. April 1...so anything sold today would settle and be off their books by 3/31/99, the end of the quarter. The opposite also applies the buying should start on Monday, a day Brokerage houses (SSB) can reiterate the recco's or upgrade based on attractive price.............who knows?
