Anyone have any info on Jonathan Ledecky, aka "the roll-up king?" He sounds really shady.
This from the Sacramento Business Journal:
"Mr. Ledecky is a scoundrel in my view," said Jim Duggan, CEO of Vista Information Technologies, a Herndon, Va., company that has pursued a national consolidation strategy in networking services.
"The things he has done I think are reprehensible," Duggan said, referring to Ledecky's original roll-up, U.S. Office Products, a collection of mom-and-pop office supply stores whose stock plummeted after Ledecky cashed out last year.
"There wasn't a sound basis for his company," Duggan said. "There was nothing to tie these companies together."
In recent months Ledecky has been hit with several lawsuits by U.S. Office Products shareholders, who allege he used questionable accounting practices to boost the company's stock price shortly before he sold part of his stake in the firm and resigned as chairman and CEO. Ledecky denies the allegations. |
