Chris: We now know the State of Nevada has 20 million Lines Of Code, as shown by the following calculation of what it would take without the automated fix:

100,000 LOC per year per programmer * 100 programmers * 2 years

So, with the fix, it should take 20 hours (at 1 million LOC per hour) and no programmers. Sounds like a no-brainer decision to me ... unless there's something we're not being told.

At least we now know that SOMETHING works. Unfortunately, there was no information supplied to define what "smaller test" means. Maybe 1 program, or 1 subroutine, or 1 Line of code?

Maybe that rumor'd alien of a few posts back was actually the remains of the poor programmer who was running the tests?
