this was written in 1996 but it is an interesting overview
and might add to some fuel for GATA and antifuel about imf trying to sell gold to "help" these countries whose natural resources and changing mining laws could help them fish rather than be fed

here is another which shows how Brazilian laws have gotten friendlier only to be dumped on by IMF.. but of course..Brazil doesn't need any money .(rofl)
