I don't claim to be an expert on how to best use ISLD.

However, the only time I would ever want to place a bid above the inside ask in a stock is when the stock is rising rapidly. Conversely, if the stock is falling like a rock and I wanted to exit a long position, I might want to place an offer that is below the inside bid of the stock to execute against an ISLD order that I saw on the ISLD book.
