Don't you sometimes wonder if it's coming down to a true clash of cultures--some companies die not bcause they couldn't change but because they won't...it would be like eviscerating them (or so they feel--), so you put on a little new window dressing a la TV on the Web but that doesn't change the core of how they see themselves and how they HAVE seen themselves for so many years--reminds me of baseball team that can't get out of a rut and it's self perpetuating--as BAM pointed out probably not on this thread but on RNWK thread, it took RNWK a long time to shift itself (as it's slowly beginning to do now) from a software company to more of a portal--it began as software, it couldn't think of itself differently--finally it's starting to. It's sad, isn't it? Technology notwithstanding, in this revolution attitude, vision and moxie seem to be what count. Don't know what I'm so philosophical this a.m.! Jill
