Lancer, thanks for the wonderful article, which starts off my weekend with a smile. I can't imagine what this McNally character thinks he is accomplishing, but it looks like he is trying to create an excuse for an upcoming lousy quarterly report. It's been widely rumored that cpq stuffed the channels yet again last year, and if so, they will have to come clean when they announce earnings on April 15. Maybe 5fer has asked his European team to try and create a distraction. I'm holding April puts on cpq and am just waiting for their earnings report (or an earnings warning) to pounce <g>. Unfortunately, they will drag the sector (and dell) down with them, but since dell's business is doing well, they will distance themselves from Compaq on May 18.
