It matters if dell uses resellers and retail. those on this board say dell's being direct gives it an edge over hybrids . the hybrids can't sell cheaply direct because they will antagonize their other channels. besides their buyers will have to pay sales tax where dell has locations. gtw was knocked for its country stores. but, bottom line dell denies it is approaching resellers or retailers. analagously, many on this board attack analysts as dishonest or ignorant. yet, analysts and others have generally touted dell-and dell's buy ratings are mentioned as positive for dell-not signs that the touter just wants to sell dell-so she is touting it to push the price up. in other words, everything is given a positive spin by many bullish posters on this board. that is why i say they are fat, dumb, happy and dishonest
