Lab,

Dan O -- did I stump you on post 2933?

Did you know that Grable said that there were overseas sales?

Lab, I think you misunderstood the release. I believe the statement you're referring to regarded Grables' sale of his "Lintroscan," the device he and his wife were selling back in the 1980s -- it too was touted as a "painless, x-ray-free mammography" device. It too was claimed to be superior to mammography for many women. I do not know how many were sold in the U.S., but one or more of them were seized and destroyed by the Feds and several others recalled for misbranding. According to FDA documents, some of the Grables' promotional literature also was destroyed. The FDA documents said 10 were sold in China. I don't know if any were sold in other countries.

According to FDA documents, the Lintroscan consisted of a movie projector light bulb as a near-infrared light source, a fiberoptic wand, and a videocamera and/or Polaroid camera.
