..............HOW TO WRITE COVERED CALLS - A REAL CASE STUDY!
==================================================================
PAGE #11.....................................................................Date: Thursday, Feb. 20, 1997

OUR CASE STUDY:

ROSS STORES made a very nice comeback today closing at $46/share up +2 1/4 on 404,000 shares. That brings the total for the week so far up 1/2.

Volatility Index:

The volatility this week has been rock n roll bigtime! Today the VIX climbed to it's highest level since the July 1996 blowout. The VIX closed at 23.58 up +1.12.
That is some shakeout before tomorrow's options expiration date. In fact, most of that volatility was generated by last minute house cleaning for tomorrow's MR DEALER, PLEASE CLEAR THE BLACKJACK TABLES DAY!

The third Friday of the month is my favorite day!. I get to keep some BIG PREMIES from all those call buyers. I tell you I have never met such friendly call buyers. They lend me their money and I never have to paid them back! Now how many friends do you have like that?

10 Year T-Bill:

That T-Bill did tick up a little today closing at an interest rate of 6.30% up +.040. When that interest rate moves above the 300-day average and remains above that mark for a month, WATCH OUT! We will go into a recession no questions asked! NOT NOW FOLKS! IF it goes up that far. We are in bull market at this time. Business as usual.

That it for now! I have been forwarding the Excel templates at a rate of about 8 people per day. I lost count after 100 persons. If you have any questions, comments or improvements, I would like to hear them!

PS - I have not been logging on to the web page as offen this past week. I'm in the process of looking for a new house to buy and you know how involved that process can be. I will try my best to check in every other day.
