Hi Otter, While going through the same sort of mental gyrations, I decided it would be prudent to sell CALLS against about 15% of my position. I sold July $20 Calls and was paid $0.75.

So, if the deal goes through at less than $20, I keep the shares and the premium. If it goes between $20 and $20-3/4, I lose the shares and keep the premium. If it goes for more than $20-3/4, I still keep the premium, lose the shares but still have plenty left to sell if the price is quite a bit higher.

AIM/Newport's been begging me to sell more shares ever since $17+, but I've controlled the urge. This partially satisfies the AIM program as it sells only what I'd have sold anyway if the price were $20/sh.

Since all shares are profitable at this point, it's not that important. I get the use of the $$ for a couple of months while we wait for the eventual transfer of ownership. It's me compromising with myself!

Best regards, Tom
