That seems to be the limit of Intel's strategy. I was thinking
along different lines - for the company to use its huge resources to
make fundamental changes in the market.

One possible idea: everyone knows that the phone companies are going
real slow in rolling out ADSL.

Why doesn't Intel muscle in on some of the companies and start providing ADSL service?

This company has got to expand into new markets to keep growing IMHO.
