<<<You should send that post to Buffett as well as he has not bought anything but Dairy Queen and 30% of the world's silver in the last couple yrs. >>> Mr Buffet deals in stocks that he and his investors are very familiar with, can relate too in their daily lives , and can be 'comfortable' in owning. Which makes them saleable in good times and comparatively good to own in bad times. Does rather well, I hear. We deal here with more risky investments, with huge potential gains, in the fast growing field of technology. IMO Dell is a far more solid and assured long-term investment than most neighboring stocks in related fields. While dell is growing at 3.5 times the industry rate that does not enhance the sales and profits of Cpq, Ibm, Hwp. So Dell suffers temporarily from being associated,by analysts, with those companies PC problems. If you back off a bit from Dell alone, you will find that many here own Aol, emc, cmgi, qcom, yhoo, ebay, msft, csco. If you have an adverse reaction to owning Dell, you are welcome to jump on board and ride those on up because thats where they are headed. JMHO Sig |
