I think the broader issue is being able to monitor multiple stocks at once for entry & exit points. Tiling is one way... another would be to perform sophisticated technical analysis with multiple indicators in one main window while tracking the actions of other stocks "in play". IQ Chart started this with the "Favorites" column. Integrating the watchlist and portfolio with specific technical alerts would allow everyone to keep tabs on dozens of stocks (beyond just price and volume).

Whichever way you do it, each stock is still competing for one set of eyeballs. A more detailed alert system would allow you to keep your eyes on one main chart and let the software do the dirty work.
