Insider Selling at Schwab
Good for them !, that means they are enjoying the fruits of their work, I am not jealous, and If I were them, I would probably be doing the same.
As a matter of fact I have been doing the same, (although I am not an insider, hence the smaller profits too.) Taking profits as you go...
In addition, that is part of the reason options exist, you risk less, or you hedge, or both. I will say it again, finding companies like Schwab, who have a global strategy in a growing industry, (not to mention they are leaders in it), then take positions and sell covered calls, or simply buy options....
Taking profits, as one goes, is the only sane way to "invest" in this market, unless you simply put the money in and forget about it for a few years.
Just take a look at the chart.
Besides.... as it was already mention, in % terms, these sales do not seem to be indicative of much. Insider sales, unless they are massive, or the company is in evident trouble, conditions which in this case are not applicable, are meaningless.
Think is terms of what the potential market the world represents for Schwab and what other competitor is even close to form the infrastructure that Schwab is building.
If more people begin to consider Schwab as an "Internet" company... you have seen nothing yet. Just look at the other Internut "companies"... Schwab is consistently increasing their trading volume through the Internet, in effect, "selling through the Internet, succeeding, and consistently increasing volume.... Soon we will see SCH at $ 100.00.... maybe more.
Just my opinion. |
