I guess it depends on your style of trading. It's fine looking at one chart with multiple, sophisticated technical analysis indicators, and I agree that your eyes can only look at one chart at a time. However, with tiling, I can scan 20 charts to look for breaks of mental trendlines in about 5-10 seconds, whereas with IQC it takes anywhere from 2-5 seconds to bring up each chart. It's pretty difficult to design an alert system that responds to breaks of trendlines, especially without constantly drawing them for each stock. You have to take into consideration the time it take to alter alerts if you are following 20 stocks on an intraday trading basis.
