Andrew:
First of all, I started this thread in order to introduce what I thought was a startup silver play. I have not sold a single share, and all of my holdings are under water, as nearly every shareholder in this stock.
I wish, in retrospect, that I had sold every single share. I personally resent your implication that I am a pump and dump individual, as that is not my style. I am not a trader as such, and prefer to invest in promising juniors and hold for the longer term. During the past 2-3 years, that has turned out to be a disastrous approach, but I believe that the commodity cycle is starting to turn, and that we will recoup a lot of the losses we have suffered. Clifton is not the only startup silver play and there are several that are selling for very low prices. I agree with you that buying the producers, e.g. paasf, was in retrospect a safer bet, but that of course is in hindsight.
I happen to know some of the principals of the company, including Ken Friedman who is a director, and for whom I have the highest regard. As far as I know, I have every reason to trust the management of this company. They have run into a series of problems, but the bottom line is that silver has had a major correction, and that in the end is what governs these plays.
I have made a recent attempt to contact the company, and will again this coming week. I will post what I learn.
Wish I could render you whole on this one in a minute, but I can't do it for myself, either.
