Dear JDN: You are right. With some of these technology issues, one can not just buy and hold and hold... One really has to ask oneself a number of questions, including, "Do I have the temperament to ride-out market swings."
It used to be that management ultimately was not that important. With many, most, technology companies, however, it makes a difference. Think what would happen to the stock price of CSCO if John Chambers decided to quit, move to FL, and spend the rest of his life trying to match Zane Grey's fishing records? Or, for SUNW, if Scott's wife, God forbid, should one day tell him, "Go for it, Scott," and Scott then leaves SUNW to join the NHL.
