Sarmad, re: I don't know if that hurts Microsoft, but I am sure it benefits Sun.

A little off topic, but fyi before you jump into Sun take a look at their business... I did that last year and saw there was no way for them to make money off of Java (at that time) or any software really.... they are like the old IBM, everything comes from HW - preferably the bigger boxes. On that front I think they will lose eventually to Dell if not for Dell's mfg then certainly for Intc.

Java really revitalized Sun as a company... prior to Java Sun couldn't do anything right, nonetheless I still feel Sun is not marketing focused enough like Dell and Msft/Intc are. Did they even have a biz plan in the works as to how they were going to benefit from Java when they built it... I doubt it... I'd like to see their strategy for Linux too.

I'm starting to sound like some of the guys here pointing out all the technical flaws in Sun, meanwhile their stock is up from 45 last Oct - LOL.
