Thanks for pointing out that internet discussion thread, Chuzzlewit. I didn't know it was there and I see some of my friends there. Fwiw the amazon thread on SI is a sort of general discussion forum... for example I am not really in amzn - we talk about a lot of stocks there.

On a related point I just want to mention that James Cramer made some very negative remarks about the entire enterprise software sector last April. Being no fan of Cramer I brushed off his comments and attributed them to lack of industry knowledge - since we all knew the engine business was in trouble with lack of innovation and msft coming. The apps area continued to prosper (especially Siebel, Itwo etc) and then in July - collapse. If you had sold in April you would have missed some of the spring runups but I think in the end it was an excellent call. So hats off to him on that.

Fwiw I'm even a little worried about Sebl here... front office/CRM is the last prosperous software sector and Oracle and now psft are going after it (I don't know about Sap). I think Sebl is going to have to acquire some of the competition or else see some margins erode. Just a thought.
