Yes, StockTax will generate the ready-to-file 1040 Schedule-D.
It contains the Cost Basis (Net paid) with buy date and the
Sales Proceeds (Net received) with sell date and of cause individual Profit/loss.

When StockTax has completed the report and you see it in the Notepad,
you can directly paste the whole report into your WordProcessor using "Edit/Paste". There you can do some editing like add a Header with your Account Number add a page number etc... and then print it out.

Then you list enter only the grand totals in the Main Schedule D form
and enter "See Attachments" in the first column.

Repeat this separately for each account (if you have several).

The grand total has to match to the grand total you received from your broker showing ALL the sales for that account, because that's what the IRS is receiving directly from the broker.
