If ASPT's management is "so scared of shareholders nowdays" as you say, it certainly isn't "rightly." There are only about 950 shareholders in total and most of the stock is in institutional hands. Institutions don't sue managements of companies they own. It's counterproductive. I didn't mean to say that ASPT was being justifiably too careful, I meant unjustifiably. Enthusiasm is infectious and it is possible to be enthusiastic without being foolhardy. On a second point, nobody should create unrealistic earnings expectations for the next couple of quarters. Poor earnings are already baked into the cake and any improvement on those would be welcome but not necessary to retain the current stock price. IMO it would take further slippage from current estimates to justify the short case and I don't think we would have seen big insider buying if that were about to occur. There are buyers just waiting to commit to the stock as soon as a little positive news hits. DT should have had a larger impact but now potential buyers will most likely wait until they hear the conference call on the 14th, although I think we may get some short covering in anticipation of the call. If the company has not already done so, I would sure like to see them complete the buyback program at these levels as well. Many will see that as a test of management's confidence.
