Ah. That is a Very Bad Thing for the salesman. If the car is on the lot, tell Ms. that she should wait to discuss price until you are sitting down, then get the "out the door" number (total including everything) and then subtract 8%, and hold to that price. If the Sales Manager has to be called in, you are close to a deal. If they try and bump you up, and they will, don't go for it. A typical bump would be late in the negotiations, "We're adding sales tax to this, remember" or some other horse puckey. The first person that mentions a number is the loser.

If they refuse to do the deal, get up and walk towards the door and watch what happens. hee hee.

The car has to be on the lot for this to work.
