Razor, I was looking at your Bankruptcy Predictor thread and saw the discussion about Microvision (MVIS). Interesting company and worth a mention on this thread for a couple of reasons.

First, it is also an R&D company with no revenue (except for some military R&D contracts).
Second, it scores a "strong" on the Altman Z score.
Third, they recently raised money through convertible preferred shares with a fixed, rather than a variable conversion rate.

Lesson for this thread, there are R&D companies out there who can raise funds without being forced to resort to floorless variable conversion rates.
