Bill, no I didn't see that story on the mig cargo plane holdup. This was an e-mail from a German buddy that has pals working down in the area on something or another. And yes, I think there is a good chance they will do it. There are certainly risks vis-a-vis economic help, but I can certainly see how the Russians would feel at the end of their rope after all the water under the bridge and say F*ck It, let's do it.
