If ERICY does what you are suggesting it would be quite irrational and they will be back on the path of self destruction. Ericsson now has a clear path to profitability and growth with CDMAone and CDMA2000 why would they risk that on a hair brained scheme to fool their customers? Customers are smart enough to figure out the right answer. I am sure QCOM will make sure that the world knows the truth about that. I think the operators understood the story before but were hoping to save on paying royalties to QCOM if Ericy succeeded in it's immoral bid. With Ericy paying royalties to QCOM the world is ready to get on with it and start building 3G systems instead of waiting for 2 years.
