Your example of MU shows a basic lack of understanding between a growth stock and a cyclical stock. Just because a few idiot analysts were slow to recognize the DRAM downturn (or probably acutally don't even understand the historical dram cycle) doesn't mean a thing. Estimates for cyclical stocks are, in general, harder to predict. The estimates for USRX have been deadly accurate. In fact, I believe the last two quarters where extremely accuarte if not exact.

I consider myself very much a value investor and invest almost exclusively in tech stocks. I know many other people who share my strategies. Please, don't try and speak for all value investors.
