Dear Cash:
I appreciate your very informative responses. I have cable modem and a 56K for back up. I primarily trade Nasdaq stocks and have 5 level II windows open at each given time.
I will definitely look into Bright and First call on Monday.

You seem to have a good understanding of technical aspect of remote trading. I was not quite sure what you meant by "RediPlus is a low-bandwidth app".
Also, I have never really looked into ISDN or ADSL options. How do they compare with cable connection? I was under impression that the next level up for me would be to get a direct connection to my broker's system, instead of using cable modem.

I can live with the graphs that most programs provide, but am looking for a fast screening device to point out where the change is in 5 minute or less intervals. Am I asking for too much or is the technology out there? Both Radar screen and AIQ claim that they let me do that, but the question is how long does it take them to do that? I think I will find out this week.

Lastly, I have been hearing about some traders who run their screening software off of Dos as opposed to Windows to enhance the speed. Do you know anything about that?
take care,
