Art, if you're eating all those recipes you will need to fight some salmon to lose weight. In 1981 I was going up to Lake Michigan with a friend who had a boat. We actually spent more time in Wisconsin and Michigan than we spent at home. Those early days had some super fishing. Last coupla trips I've chartered on the Baby Doll out of Port Washington. That guy knows fishing and the Port has a nice place to stay by the harbor and several great eating places. Got a tip. If you use the new super lines, I like to put several wraps of plumbers teflon tape (no adhesive) on the arbor before putting on the line. Makes a nice cushion, grip and filler for the line. You usually don't need the standard 200 yards capacity found on most reels. Works for mono too.
