Because they are late to the market and their reduction system is inferior to Nikon and ASM Lithography. Both Nikon and ASM Lithography have excellent reduction lithography systems. Both of these companies spend more in R&D per year than UTEK's total revenue. UTEK's much heralded cash position is insignificant when compared to these organizations. Critical mass is required to compete in this technology sector.
