from a substantive point i agree with you that the substance of the intrnet is new to bd. but if i am not mistaken, this is dw's first brush with the corporate raider type, m & a thing, etc.and other aspects of the lcos deal which are new to the internet businesses. dw may turn out to be better at it the bd; but bd has the track record. i take nothing from dw-- like you i am long on cmgi (but not lcos-- the day of the portal has passed). i think he will learn a lot from this and cmgi will be better off for it. btw how did you get from art history to internet stocks?
