Coffee Culture
You say coffee, I say café. Java. Cup a joe. Used to be only one kind of coffee, and that was black. "Times they are a changin". Nowadays, drinking caffeine has evolved into an art form. Light, Dark, French roasted beans? Kenyan, Jamaican, Tanzanian, or just plain Guatemalan? Amaretto Supreme, Chocolate Macadamia Nut, French Vanilla, Irish Creme? Coffee, Cappucino, Latté, Espresso? Flavored sryups, iced drinks, chocolate-covered espresso beans? And that's just the coffee. Everyone knows you don't go for the coffee. It's the "atmosphere". Is it an old dusty, dim light room with old books and chess pieces, reeking of stale smoke and turkish coffee or, would you prefer a clean, airy, steel and glass environment with art-deco tables and state-of-the-art magazine racks? The choices are yours. Within the last few years, the coffeehouse/cafe craze has left its mark. Each one has its own unique flavor. |
