Guido, BZZZT. Wrong guess, my kitty friend.
As for dialing up dates for testing trades- kitty, get a program to tell the players. With service pack 3 officially NOT y2k compliant (per Microsoft) and Service Pack 4 so buggy Dell and Compaq won't support it, NT is between the devil and the deep blue. (... go IBM, by the way.)
What broker do I trust the most through 00? Well, I'm a belt and suspenders sort of guy (bald and fat, but not from Mars.) so I have multiple accounts that can execute options trades if need be, so I can cover most of my portfolio in some fashion. That is, unless the options floors go down! In that case, I'll just count on good picks for the long haul. If I had to pick one, I think DLJ is my guess.
As for who uses what for their systems- THERE HAD BETTER NOT BE A LIST! Knowing which system someone uses makes hacking the system just that much easier. Now, for NT... sheesh. Talk about not ready for prime time!
For JBOH next Q... I expect they will surprise positive on earnings, and have a bunch of extra stuffs to complicate the bookwork. I want to be out or boxed for the run-up prior to earnings, then expect a "sell on the news" pattern.
WebDrone ( starting to think that boxing again looks better than a simple cover. I mean, even a dead cat will bounce, eh?) |
