. . .ANSWERS . . .

A. Serbo-Albanian conflict 1683-1690 and the War of Serbia and Montenegro 1876-1879

B. World War II [April 6, 1941]

C. Today [March 29, 1999] . . . but the scenario will NOT play thru . . IF we can learn from our mistakes.

D. World War I [July 28, 1914]

Notice with each war, the Russians [or Soviets in 1941] not only came to the aid of the Serbs, but defeated the opposing army, made up of various allied forces [see sources below and your local library for details on which armies invaded Yugoslavia].

There have recently been rumors of a reunified communist power with Russia, the Ukraine and Belarus joining forces. Could this Serb / Albanian war be the catalyst that brings about this new world power?

What does NATO, the U.N. and the U.S.A. think it can accomplish there? End a conflict that has persisted for over 400 years, was the cause of World War I and marked the start of World War II? And after over a century of ethnic and social persecution; with hundreds of thousands forced out of their homes over the past 2 decades alone; why do we start bombing now? I won't be offering answers to these questions. Perhaps you can write and ask your congressman.
