Hi Joe...Abour Barron's Article

It seems I am confused or something. I thought we were going to forget about Calpers, WAIS, ..etc., and the oust of the BOD & Marengi. You, Kenneth, EKS and others are still talking about this stuff. Did I miss something?

The good thing which came out of the article is Lisa's statement that the stock price is undervalued relative to the expected growth. This is bound to help.

Troop's response was appropriate, most likely he is overwhelmed with e-mail messages and phone calls from unhappy investors, he doesn't have time to read this board. Calling him names, with all due respect, isn't appropriate , civil, or funny. It seems that it became fashionable on this board that anyone who doesn't like what someone else is saying, he just calls him names. This doesn't serve any purpose. We are here to make some money not to insult each other or Novell officials. As far as I am concerned, this is not acceptable.

An interesting point EKS is raising, he doesn't think the rep. of Noorda shouldn't be on the BOD. Noorda owns several million shares and his main interest would be to enhance the value of his holdings. Do we want people who aren't interested in the stock price?. I don't understand the logic on this board anymore. About the economic evaluation EKS asked my opinion about, I didn't have enough time to review it carefully.

Steve Fancy asked if I am going to bail out if they don't appoint a CEO by the end of the month, my simple answer is no. I base my decisions on the financial results.

From the article:
Novell, for one, has been managed by its board of
directors with the independent chairman of the
board acting as CEO. "Without fundamental
changes, they can't be a prosperous company,"
Pacheco said. "We want to make sure that they
are on the right track." The organization would like
to see Novell set a plan of action that includes new
products.
