ZIASUN PLANS FREE E-MAIL FOR ALL WEBSITES
SAN DIEGO, March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- ZiaSun Technologies Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ZSUN) (http://www.ziasun.com) today announced plans to provide an e-mail service free to every website on the Internet.
The new system will be based on ZiaSun's existing web-based e-mail program, PINmail (http://www.pinmail.com), which is similar to Hotmail (bought by Microsoft, MSFT, for a reported $400 million), but charges an annual fee for added features and to restrict usage to serious business people only.
The new PINmail service will give all websites the ability to offer web-based e-mail from their pages, as do major sites like Netscape and Yahoo! It will be completely free to webmasters and users.
Mr. Anthony L. Tobin, President and CEO of ZiaSun said, "With the new free service any website owner or administrator in the world will be able to go to the PINmail website and register.
"They will be able to add a free e-mail service to their website simply by downloading some HTML code and pasting it onto their pages, he said.
"Webmasters would then be able to set up and administer e-mail accounts under their own customized PINmail domain (eg: me@mysite.pinmail.com), as well as accepting applications for new accounts from their users automatically."
Programmers working from ZiaSun's Asian facilities in Hong Kong and Manila are in the final stages of testing the new service.
In return for the free service each website will carry banner ads on the e-mail pages, which will be hosted and controlled from ZiaSun's servers in California.
"We are aiming to register 100,000 websites in the first few months. This should give us anything from one million to 10 million impressions for our banner ads per day," said Mr. Tobin.
He added that the new service from PINmail would fit neatly with the group's other Internet products and services, like Swiftrade (www.swiftrade.com), M Finance (www.mfinance.com), MediaHits (www.mediahits.com), Search Dragon (www.searchdragon.com), and the soon to be launched Asia4Sale (www.asia4sale.com).
