Dear Mephisto,

My adorable BIG (not fat, BIG) pet purrs and very, very, very rarely meows. I am reluctant to use the "c" word for two reasons: 1.) I have found a lot of people here at SI **hate** c's; 2.) His behaviour is very dog-like.

I don't think he would harm another little animal he knew 'belonged' to me, but I would not know where to take a duck once it became an adult.
