DJ: U.S. Wireless Corporation Successfully Completes Pilot Rollout Of
RadioCamera Wireless Caller-Location System in Baltimore

SAN RAMON, Calif., March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Wireless Corporation
(Nasdaq: USWC) today announced the successful completion of a pilot rollout
of its RadioCamera(TM) wireless caller-location system in Baltimore,
Maryland.
Installed in active base stations throughout the metropolitan Baltimore
area, the RadioCamera system monitors cellular traffic throughout the city
and transmits location information of designated callers to a control
center, where it is represented on a mapping display accessible through the
Internet. This World Wide Web distribution system facilitates the
availability of location information to future customers and service
providers anywhere.
Over the course of the past several months, the RadioCamera system was
exposed to a series of rigorous performance tests designed to evaluate its
capabilities under a variety of scenarios, weather conditions and handset
equipment. Large volumes of cellular calls were placed by designated
callers from mobile and stationary vehicles, within buildings, and while
walking on city streets. The tests demonstrated that the RadioCamera system
meets and exceeds the performance required by Phase II of the FCC's mandate
for wireless Enhanced 911 (E-911) service.
"The RadioCamera system has met and exceeded the FCC requirement for E-911
service in Baltimore's dense downtown environment, a major milestone in the
development of our wireless caller location system," said Dr. Oliver
Hilsenrath, President & CEO. "By successfully integrating our location
system in Baltimore, one of the country's busiest cellular service areas, we
are strengthening the case for the timely implementation of location 911
services, an eagerly awaited benefit for the growing wireless community."
The successful integration of the RadioCamera in a major metropolitan
market, is a significant step toward the maturation of the Company's product
for commercial rollout. The Company began integration of the RadioCamera
system in the Baltimore-Washington area last summer with an initial
deployment in Annapolis Junction. The objective of this first phase was to
develop the necessary interfaces with the cellular network. Deployment of
the RadioCamera system was then expanded to the metropolitan Baltimore area
during the fourth quarter. The Company plans to add digital CDMA capability
to the analog AMPS- based Baltimore system later this year. Additional
RadioCamera Systems are also operating in cellular networks in Billings,
Montana and Oakland, California.
U.S. Wireless Corporation (http://www.uswcorp.com) is a leading developer
and provider of high-performance network-based location systems that enable
wireless carriers and others to provide value-added services including
wireless Enhanced 911, live navigation assistance, enhanced directory
assistance, asset and vehicle tracking and network management services. The
Company's premier product, the RadioCamera(TM) System, pinpoints the
location of a mobile telephone subscriber within a wireless network using
"Location Fingerprinting," a proprietary technology developed by U.S.
Wireless. The RadioCamera(TM) does not require direct line of sight to
multiple base stations to identify locations, making it highly effective in
dense urban environments. It integrates easily into the existing network
infrastructure and requires no modifications to the base station or
subscriber handsets.
