Based on the history of the region it points to the KLA as the intiator of the violence by killing Kosovo Serbs from 1974 (when they had autonomy) through 1989 when Yugoslavia removed autonomy due to KLA terrorist acts on pro-Yugoslavian Kosovo Albanians and Serbian-Kosovo's. YES the KLA killed Albanians that were pro-Yugoslavia. Autonomy is not what the Kosovo Albanians wanted and this was reflected in their terrorist acts and failure to work with Yugo government from 74-89. Fighting terrorists entrenched in villages as you can imagine is not an easy thing. Obviously there will be innocent casualties. I still do not believe that the Yugo army is committing "ethnic cleansing". Rather they are removing the KLA; or attempting to.
