yes, i used to get the exact error message. odd one too, huh? :)

it never caused a prob (that i was aware of), and like you, i just worked around it. finally it went away when i loaded new video drivers.

i used to get that on two dells that i still own. a lot of people i asked about it never heard of it.

do you by any chance have an STB video card? i have STB powergraph 64 3D video. you can also try turning off STB vision, if you have it.
