Good point about asset shuffling not creating wealth. I think it particularly funny that the market also goes goo-goo over spin-offs at the same time. Merger, spin-off....who cares! Buy, buy, buy!

Another favorite of mine is the CEO who is "committed to enhancing shareholder value." Which usually means tout and manipulate that stock price to the detriment of the business, but to the benefit of one particular shareholder. Cramer actually heaped praise on Bezos for splitting Amazon's stock to nullify some bad news!
